Rasna became a familiar face among Malayalam television viewers through her popular double roles as Aruna and Seema in the superhit serial Parijatham. She has stayed away from acting since her marriage, and various reports have circulated about her relationship with her family.

Responding to such reports, Rasna’s mother Sajitha spoke about the financial support her daughter provided to the family through her acting career. According to Sajitha, there was a time when she had no clear means of support after leaving her husband’s home with her two children while she was unemployed.

Sajitha said Rasna began acting when she was studying in the ninth standard and that Parijatham became a turning point in their lives. She said the family built their own house by saving the money Rasna earned through acting and by taking a loan.
